    Navkar Corporation Ltd (NCL) is a Container Freight Station (CFS) operator in India. CFSs play an important role in decongesting the harbor by providing facilities for in-transit container handling, stuffing, de-stuffing, temporary storage and examination of export -import cargoes. Their primary role is to facilitate the clearance of the cargo for export out of the country or import into the country, consolidation and de-consolidation of cargo and allow a port to function as a transshipment point.
    NCL's three existing CFSs are strategically located in close to the JN Port Mumbai, the largest container port in India.In FY14,JN Port handled 4.1mn TEUs(twenty foot equivalent units), which accounted for ~56% of all container cargo handled at major ports in India, out of which 45%-55% was through CFS. Currently NCL has an aggregate handling capacity of 310,000 TEU’s per annum.
    NCL‟s three CFSs and a Private Freight terminal (PTF) is spread over 3.5mn sq.ft, of which 1.63mn s
    q.ft has been notified as customs area.
    NCL has also been appointed as a „custodian‟ and a „customs cargo service provider ‟through notifications by customs authorities. In FY15,
    NCL handled 2, 68,836 TEU which was 86% of the total installed capacity.
    NCL‟s volume grew 11%CAGR during FY13-15. Total revenue was Rs3, 309mn in FY15, of which cargo handling services contributed 72%.
